The History of our Building

Our office is located in a unique building in downtown Bloomington, Indiana. We would like to develop more detailed information of our building for our website and document the building’s history.

Our office was originally built in the early 1900s, making it one of the oldest surviving buildings in Bloomington. The Lettelleir family owned the building until 1938, and brothers Joseph and Antone opened Lettelleir Bros. Bakery here in 1915.

The Letteillers eventually moved their bakery after a fire in the building, and Roger Curry owned the building from 1938 until 1984. Mr. Curry owned and operated both an insurance firm and a construction company here. Robert Millican, owner of Millican Realty, moved his company into the building in 1988. Mr. Curry was followed by Trish Sterling of Sterling Real Estate in 2009. We began to use the building as our office in 2015.

If you have some information to share we would love to hear from you. We are collecting stories of people who use to work or live in the building or were involved in the many remodels to detail a more extensive building history. Any information would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
