2017 Reader's Choice Award

The Herald-Times Readers’ Choice Awards began as an annual event at the turn of the century to recognize excellent local businesses. The awards showcase the best in food, retail and services, ranging from best donut shop, to best shoe store, to best law office. The Herald Times indicates when it is accepting nominations, and readers and people around the community submit their choice for who they think is the best in any area. The newspaper publishes the nominations and the Bloomington community votes. Once the voting has concluded, a winner is chosen and all the winners are highlighted in a special edition of the Herald Times.
